If you feel that your CHOMPI is not functioning as it should, below are a few things to check first while troubleshooting.
Power / Charging
- When a USB-C power cable is plugged into CHOMPI, does the little red indicator light inside the USB port glow steady? Or does it blink / flash?
- Glowing steady = Good connection with battery charge circuit
- Blinking = Battery charge circuit is not communicating properly with the Daisy
(Reach out to us directly if this is the case!)
- Be sure you are using a USB power source with at least 2A if you are operating CHOMPI for longer periods of time. When the device is OFF, it will charge on the minimum .5A (commonly found on computer USB ports), but if you need to run & charge at the same time, CHOMPI will require more juice.
Firmware / Presets
- After backing up your SD card to your computer, reformat the card "MS-DOS (FAT32)"
- Drop the latest firmware .bin file onto the freshly formatted card
- Reinsert the SD card back into CHOMPI and boot up with a USB power cable connected
- This will typically eliminate any "hidden" or corrupted files that might be left on the card between firmware updates
Hardware
- Follow the steps in this short video to confirm the primary hardware I/O of your CHOMPI is functioning properly
This should hopefully get you back up and running in no time. However, if you are still experiencing issues with your CHOMPI feel free to open a support ticket for more help. Please add a description of what happened (with as much detail as you can) and we will do our best to either help clarify the situation or log the issue.
